Why Preventify

The problem was never knowing what to do. It was doing it consistently.

Most athletes get handed a sheet of injury-prevention exercises, then lose track of it by the next week. Prevention work only helps if you keep showing up for it. Preventify is built around that one job: making the work short, specific, and easy to come back to every day, because consistent prevention training is your best shot at lowering injury risk and staying on the field.

Consistency is the product.

Weekly goals, streaks you can protect, and quick daily sessions are all designed for one outcome: getting you to come back tomorrow, and the day after that.

How it works

From a 30-second check-in to a workout built for you.

1

Build your profile

A quick onboarding quiz captures your sport (and your position, for baseball and softball), experience, equipment, and weekly goal, then sets up your personalized, sport-specific injury-prevention program.

2

Check in daily

Each morning a 30-second check-in asks how you slept, how sore you feel, your energy, and how much time you have. Your answers shape today's session.

3

Do your session

You get a short, guided routine with video demos, sets, and reps. You pick the focus area; Preventify sets the dose based on how you feel.

And before you play: the Dynamic Warm-Up.

One tap, and a guided, sport-tuned sequence takes you from easy movement to game speed, so your first sprint, serve, or jump isn't done cold.

Meet Paulo. From the morning check-in to a guided session, this is how Preventify fits injury-prevention training into a real athlete's day.

Under a minute
Daily check-in

Thirty seconds that shape your whole session.

Sleep, soreness, energy, and time. Tell Preventify how you're doing and it tailors the day to match. Fresh and ready? It gives you a little more. Sore or short on sleep? It pulls back.

Reads your readiness

Sleep, energy, and soreness combine into how hard today should be.

Tracks your training load

A rolling view of recent effort, so a busy week is taken into account.

Guided, not generic

Know exactly what to do.

No more losing a printout the week after physical therapy. Every move comes with clear sets, reps, and a demo video, plus quick form tips right on screen.

A video demo for every move

75 demonstrations, each with quick form cues built in.

10, 15, or 20 minutes

You set the time you have; Preventify fits the right work into it.

Build the habit

Consistency you can actually see.

Finish a session and watch your streak grow. Hit your weekly goal, keep your run alive with streak-saves, and follow your sessions over time. Every part of the app is built to bring you back tomorrow.

Streaks you can protect

One missed day won't erase weeks of work thanks to streak-saves.

Why athletes choose it

Everything else is a printout. This is a system.

Physical therapy is costly and time-consuming for healthy athletes. Other apps tend to be expensive, generic, and the same every day. Preventify is a sport-specific injury-prevention app that adapts to you and is built to keep you coming back, because the prevention work only helps your injury risk if you actually do it.

Sport-specific prevention

Each program targets the areas most associated with injury in that sport, drawn from sports-medicine research, to help reduce your risk where it matters most.

Adaptive daily check-in

Sleep, soreness, energy, and time shape each session, so the work fits the day instead of following a fixed plan.

Check-in trends

Watch your sleep, soreness, energy, and training-load trends over time. Signals you can monitor, never a diagnosis.

Streaks and consistency

Build a streak, hit your weekly goal, and protect it with streak-saves so one missed day doesn't erase your progress.

Grounded in research

Exercises and routines are based on published sports-medicine and injury-prevention research.

Dynamic warm-up

A one-tap, sport-tuned warm-up before you play: Quick (about 5 minutes) or Full (about 10), building from easy movement to game speed.

How we built it

Injury prevention, done right.

Preventify is an injury-prevention app for healthy athletes, and its programs are designed to help reduce injury risk by keeping you consistent. It is built on real evidence, but it is not medical advice and is not a substitute for your doctor or physical therapist.

Built on real research

Every exercise, routine, and demo video starts from published sports-medicine findings, then gets tuned to the injury patterns of each sport.

Tested by real athletes

A private beta of 50+ athletes across five sports programs shapes every update, so the routines that reach you are ones athletes actually finish.

Designed for consistency

Streaks, weekly goals, and reminders are informed by research on how people build lasting habits.

Safety first

A pre-session check sends anyone in pain to a professional. Soreness is managed; pain is a stop sign.

A physical therapist once told Owen that most of his injuries could have been avoided if he had simply followed the right exercises consistently.

That idea became Preventify. Founder Owen Labay lost four seasons to the same recurring injury before building the tool he wished he'd had.

About Preventify

Built by an athlete who kept getting hurt.

Preventify started with a frustrating pattern. Founder Owen Labay, a 17-year-old who placed third at state in Texas high-school tennis, lost four seasons to the same recurring injury. Each time, the fix was the same: a physical therapist would hand him a set of prevention exercises and explain that staying consistent with them was what would keep him healthy.

The exercises worked when he actually did them. The hard part was doing them every day, once the pain faded and life got busy. So Owen built the tool he wished he'd had, an app that makes sport-specific, research-based prevention work short enough, specific enough, and motivating enough to genuinely stick with.

Today Preventify is built in Boerne, Texas and shaped alongside a beta of more than 50 athletes across five sports programs, with the same goal Owen had from the start: help athletes stay consistent and lower their risk of injury. Along the way, Preventify took first place at the Boerne INCubatoredu pitch competition and placed in the national top 10 at the INCubatoredu National Pitch, with Owen competing as a solo founder.
